Getting back into the swing of things

It's been awhile since I actually wrote code for anything worthwhile so I wanted to test myself. I wanted to make a simple "blog" site with node.js and MongoDB. I remembered that I still had an AppFog account so I logged into that and got started. This is just a basic entry, more less so I can test rendering Markdown.

SEO Considerations

I've made the article pagination load through AJAX, but also fallback to standard links so that search engines can index my site. As well, whenever you 'Load More' (only visible when I actually have enough articles to deem pagination necessary) the browser history gets modified so you can still use the backwards/forwards function of the brower and so that you can deep-link right back to the page you on -- meaning you can bookmark it.
